Brew your own beer

The church was built in 1894 in a small town south of Dunedin and became deconsecrated in the early 1950’s. In the year 2000 the church was moved to its final resting place and became a cellar door. With a Cricket pitch, Beach Volleyball court and other games including Football, Badminton, Pétanque and Croquet there is ample outdoor space for guests to mingle and enjoy the mountains with total privacy.

In the summer of 2019 Cargo Brewery created an on-site micro brewery with some unique features. Housed in modified shipping containers the brewery is actually made up of 3 small breweries which customers can use  to brew their own beer and fully understand the brewing process. This set up makes it perfect for a corporate team building day.

As the only venue in Queenstown offering a unique team building experience like ours, we are confident that your team will leave with the feeling that anything is possible.

Our experienced on-site brewer will guide your team through the technical process of brewing beer. Split into teams, your colleagues will have their own brewing station ready to make their own beer. Required to make many team decisions on their ‘brew’, the teams will be competing for the best result in a process that is both a science and an art. Throughout the day teams will compete in a number of other challenges and games offered in ’New Zealand’s best beer garden’! A casual lunch will be served from our cellar door and breakfast/dinner options are also available.

The winning team will be announced at the end of the day and the entire group will get a chance to celebrate and look back on the challenges and excitement of the day.

To keep your teams talking, once brewed, we will send the bottled beer out to your office so it can be tried and tested.

Please enquire for all venue hire or team building bookings. One of our team will be in touch soon.
